Printify vs. Spocket
The worldwide dropshipping market is predicted to reach $243.42 billion by the end of 2023, and by 2024, that figure is forecast to rise as high as $301.11 billion!
So, if you fancy cashing in on this flourishing market, it’s essential you do your research first.
Aside from finding the right niche of products to sell, the most important thing you'll do is partner with a reputable dropshipping platform that can connect you with suppliers of high-quality products.
This review looks at two such options: Printify and Spocket.
Hopefully, by the end of our comparison, you’ll better understand what each offers, allowing you to decide which is best for you.
There's lots to discuss, so let's dive straight in!
Printify vs. Spocket: Printify Overview
Printify is a print-on-demand (POD) platform. As such, you can customize Printify's products with your own designs and sell them on your online stores, including Shopify and Etsy.
But Printify only prints your designs onto products once you make a sale. When you receive an order, one of Printfy's network of 90+ print partners (located worldwide) will print, pack, and ship your custom items directly to the shopper.
It’s free to sign up, and there are around 900+ products to choose from, including apparel, home and living items, tech and car accessories, bags, and much more.
Printify vs. Spocket: Spocket Overview
In contrast, although Spocket connects with a few print-on-demand suppliers, it's predominantly a dropshipping platform. As such, you enjoy the best of both worlds; you can create and sell custom and standard dropshipping products (more about these further down this review!)
In a nutshell, here's how Spocket works:
Spocket provides eCommerce merchants access to thousands of pre-vetted US and EU dropshipping suppliers (some of which offer print-on-demand).
However, suppose sellers wish to extend their product offering. In that case, you can also access products from China and the rest of the world via Spocket’s partnership with AliExpress (more on that further down).
Printify vs. Spocket: Quick Overview
Printify vs Spocket: Products on Marketplace
When embarking on any print-on-demand/dropshipping venture, you must be confident your chosen dropshipping/POD platform provides access to high-quality products.
With that said, let's see how Printify and Spocket fare in this regard:
Printify
As mentioned above, Printify offers 900+ customizable products, including apparel for men, women, and children. This includes t-shirts, hoodies, vests, and so on. Other product types include mugs, hats, bags, wall art, mouse mats, and many more.
Some products are manufactured by generic brands, but many are produced by known labels, including Bella + Canvas, Champion, and Gildan.
You can search Printify's products via its website or, once you’ve signed up, from your Printify dashboard. You can filter by brand, price, fabric thickness, printer/supplier, target market (i.e., the country where your customers are based), and more.
When you load a product listing, you’ll see a wealth of product info, including:
- The product materials
- A detailed product description
- Product photos
- Printer information (we’ll discuss that in more depth below)
If you wish to order a product sample, click the ‘My Products’ tab on the left-hand menu. Then, click the ‘Create order’ button in the top right corner. Select ‘sample,’ and pick the product you want a sample of. From there, follow the on-screen instructions. Please note that Printify doesn’t offer discounts on sample orders.
Spocket
As we've already alluded, Spocket focuses on providing entrepreneurs with hundreds of thousands of high-quality dropshipping products sourced from the US and EU- (there are approximately 800,000 to choose from!)
You can browse Spocket products at your leisure by creating a free account.
Product categories include apparel, homeware, jewelry and watches, tech accessories, footwear, pets, and many more.
Spocket users can filter products by price but also by other filters, including best-selling products, premium products (highly discounted products with fast shipping), shipping cost and time, and so on.
For more product details, click the product you’re interested in. On the product page, you’ll see its images, a fuller description, the supplier’s name and location, the return policy, the listing price, the recommended retail price, the order processing time, and where the product ships from.
If you wish to order sample products, that’s doable (you can process up to five samples per order). From the product listing, select ‘order samples’ and follow the on-screen instructions. Some suppliers even offer discounted samples, so keep an eye out for that!
Spocket also offers an entire print-on-demand collection. Here, you'll find all kinds of products that you can customize. For example, mugs, watches, bottle openers, caps, phone cases, jewelry, tank tops, t-shirts, and many more!
When placing orders for Spocket’s POD items, you’ll see a box where you can message the supplier about your desired customizations. Using this information, the supplier will print the product accordingly.
Printify vs. Spocket: Product Importation
Once you’ve chosen the products you want to sell, how do you import them to your store?
Printify
For Printify users, once you’ve signed up and connected your store, the first step is to design the products you wish to sell.
When this is done, you can pick your product mockups and edit the listing details (product title, description, variants). Then, when you're happy with everything, from that same page, click the 'Publish' button. This is located at the bottom of the page and will import the product to your connected store or marketplace.
Alternatively, if you wish to publish products in bulk, select the ‘My Products’ tab on the left-hand side menu. Then, pick the products you wish to publish to your online store/marketplace by selecting the checkboxes to the left. This produces a ‘Publish’ option. Click this when you’re ready to import these products to your connected sales channel.
Spocket
From within your Spocket dashboard, when you see a product you want to sell, click it to load the product page. Then, hit the “Add to import list” button.
Rinse and repeat this process for all the products you wish to upload to your eCommerce store/online marketplace.
Once you’ve finished adding products to your import list, click ‘Import List’ on the left-hand side menu. Then, when you’re ready to add all these products to your online store, click the ‘Push All’ button.
Please note: Before importing products to your store, you can edit the product details, including the product’s name, tags, category, collection(s), description, images, and variants.
Spocket also works with ‘AI Pro: AI Blog/SEO Optimizer.’ So, if you wish, you can have AI to auto-generate product titles and descriptions for you.
Printify vs. Spocket: Suppliers
Now we’ve discussed both Printify and Spocket’s products, let’s take a closer look at their suppliers:
Printify
As we’ve already hinted, Printify’s print suppliers are located worldwide, including the US, EU, Australia, and the UK. As such, It’s worth checking Printify’s list of print providers because you can filter which country you prefer suppliers to be based in.
You can do this via Printify’s website or your dashboard. For the latter, from the left-hand side menu, select “Catalog” and then “Print Providers.” This will then populate Printify’s list of print providers.
It’s also worth noting that when you click on a product you want to customize and sell, you can see which print partners can fulfill the order.
You can also see each provider’s average shipping times, location, shipping prices, production time, and more. Also, next to the print partner’s name, you’ll see a 10-star performance rating based on quality, production speed, and product reliability.
Unfortunately, Printify customers can’t communicate directly with suppliers. Instead, you have to rely on Printify to liaise with print partners on your behalf.
We also contacted Printify’s customer support team to see what their vetting process was for their print providers, to which they responded:
‘That is being done internally so we do not have the information handy’
Spocket
You’ll see the supplier's name and location on each product page. When you click on their name, you can see the following info:
- How many stars out of 5 Spocket users rate their order fulfillment success
- Average order processing time
- When they joined Spocket
- The other products they sell
- Their refund policy
Spocket also prides itself on its supplier vetting process, which is as follows:
- Suppliers must sell high-quality products (complete with product photography and product descriptions)
- Suppliers must manufacture their own products
- Suppliers must use their own (non-third party) warehouses
- Suppliers must provide at least 25% off their retail price to Spocket customers
- Suppliers must guarantee the same shipping prices as they do for retail customers
- Suppliers must give fast shipping
It’s also worth highlighting that if you’re a Pro, Empire, or Unicorn subscriber (we’ll discuss pricing plans in more detail below), you can click the “Chat with supplier” link on each product page to communicate with the supplier directly.

Printify
Printify integrates with the following marketplaces:

Printify vs Spocket: Automatic Price & Stock Updates
When your supplier changes their prices and stock levels, this needs to be reflected on your online store. So, how do Printify and Spocket help with this?
Printify
If products become unavailable, Printify notifies you in your dashboard. For that product to be auto-routed to a different supplier, you need to enable the ‘Order Routing’ option for your store. This allows the order to be re-directed to another print provider for fulfillment.
At the time of writing, Printify didn’t offer automatic price updates.
Spocket
Similarly, When a Spocket supplier adjusts their pricing, you’ll receive a notification in your Spocket dashboard.
Where stock levels are concerned, when a supplier’s inventory levels change, this is automatically updated in real-time in your eCommerce store.
Printify vs Spocket: Customizable Branding
Printify
Printify’s name doesn’t appear on the package or shipping labels.
In terms of custom branding, Printify offers gift packaging for the following phone cases:
- Flexi Cases
- Biodegradable Cases
- Clear Cases
This costs $2.17 per item.
For other items, different custom branding is available, for example:
- Inserts like thank you cards added to your orders (this incurs an extra charge)
- Branded apparel neck labels
However, these types of branding vary from supplier to supplier.
Spocket
Spocket-sourced products come in brand-neutral generic packaging with no marketing/promotional materials from the supplier. Some products, e.g., apparel, will carry a manufacturer’s tag to show authenticity and that the product is new.
In addition, you can have branded invoices that include your email address, phone number, and logo added to your product packages. However, you’ll have to be on the Pro plan (or higher) to access this feature (more about pricing plans in a second).
Printify vs Spocket: 100% Automated AliExpress Orders
Printify doesn’t have a relationship with AliExpress.
In contrast, Spocket users can import AliExpress products to their store via a Spocket-powered tool called AliScraper. AliExpress lists millions of dropshipping products, so this is an excellent resource!
AliScraper is a free, downloadable Google Chrome extension that provides access to 1-click product imports (including product photos), 1-click order processing, and 24/7 AliExpress customer support.
AliScraper works with Wix, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, and Shopify.

However, if you want to sell high-quality dropshipping products while dipping your toes into print on demand, Spocket reigns supreme. It gives you the best of both worlds: reliable dropshipping and access to suppliers offering POD.
Thankfully, it’s free to sign up for both! So, you have nothing to lose by exploring each platform to make an informed decision for your business.
